Playa del Carmen, as many people call the little island right in the middle of the Riviera Maya, is a very romantic place chosen by millions of people from all over the world, because it is a place where you can find peace and calmness to relax on its white-sand beaches, which makes of it a unique place.
Because of its growth, Playa del Carmen has become one of the most touristic places of the Riviera Maya, even though it is a very important port. It is an amazing place which offers a lot of attractions and activities which capture the escence of the place such as extreme water sports like windsurfing, diving or explorations into the forest which lead you to archeological places filled with tradition and culture such as the Tulum & Xel-Há.
There are many restaurants where you can taste the flavor of traditional mexican food as well as international and Yucateca food, the mayority of them placed in “la Quinta Avenida” that is considered to be the heart of Playa del Carmen.
With respect to the nightlife, there are a lot of bars where you can enjoy of good music or you can find fun in the hotel you are staying in since there are bars and discos which offer you a variety of rythms ranging from salsa to hip-hop.
